Mason

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and possess a keen eye for detail. This role involves building, restoring, and installing various structures and surfaces using bricks, stones, and concrete. The Mason will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects meet quality standards and are completed on time.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and restore structures made of brick, stone, or concrete.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
• Perform construction estimating to assess material needs and project costs.
• Lay tiles for flooring or walls with precision and attention to detail.
• Execute frame carpentry tasks as needed for various projects.
• Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps in masonry work.
• Operate welding equipment for metal installations when required.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Skills

• Proficient in construction estimating techniques.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Experience in building structures using bricks, stones, or concrete materials.
• Knowledge of frame carpentry practices.
• Skilled in tile laying techniques for various applications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.85 - $27.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
