The Greater Johnstown School District is seeking a dynamic middle school library media specialist, or qualified certified teacher, to join our Knox Middle School, serving grades 5-7. This is a unique opportunity to play multiple roles: teacher, instructional partner, information specialist, and program initiator. As teacher, you will inspire students and collaborate with the learning community to determine and meet their information needs. As instructional partner, you will work closely with teachers to design authentic learning tasks and assessments, integrating information and communication abilities to meet content standards. As information specialist, you will locate, use and communicate information from multiple sources, helping students access, evaluate and create new knowledge. And as program initiator, you will develop policies, practices and curricula that guide students in developing a full range of information and communication abilities.
